Lions are tied for second in scoring defense with 234 points

with the Eagles and Broncos.

The No. 1 team are the Chargers with 207.

Minnesota’s 5th with 240.

Given all the injuries on defense, Aaron Glenn is trending toward defensive coordinator of the year.

he’s going to get the reddest of red carpets thrown his way this offseason. I really don’t understand how he’s doing it, but I will say having a lot more talent at DB/S makes it a lot nicer to gamble with the front 7.

AG had been awesome.
But it must be said, one of the best, if not Best offenses in the league, scoring points and running the ball sure makes those things a helluva lot easier.
What a team.

And we didn’t exactly help him vs the Pack. The offense gifted the Pack a couple extremely short fields.

Interesting to note, is the AG defenders always said he needed more talent, we needed to spend more money on defense and it wasn’t his fault. Well turns out all he needed was 15 guys on IR and a roster full of practice squad players to excel this whole time  Trade Hutch asap.

Amazing job by AG this year. Also huge credit to the new Dline coach from the Titans, we keep bringing in nobody’s and they play well. He was a great hire.

What’s amazing is he’s doing it with a bunch of nobodies who haven’t even had time to learn the defense.

His first two years here he had one of the lowest ranked defenses in the league and he had more talent on those teams than he has now.

He’s clearly grown as a DC. He’s coaching lights out and deserves the credit.

He needed his Terrell Williams, just like the offense needed Hank Fraley.

Bingo! That’s by far the most impressive part IMO

QBs were throwing all over the yard on him because he didn’t have CBs, which is brutal in his scheme.

Now he has a plus group there and elite safeties. And that makes all the difference.
