Why do I think they are still trying to win?

Look who Pitt plays and they very well could lose the next two
And if cincy wins against the bears and the somehow beats Pitt to give them a two divisional wins, they are in the hunt still
So, if Cincy loses the next two… then they are in trade mode imho

I don’t see Jaelan Phillips as an option for many teams unless the Dolphins eat SERIOUS amounts of salary.

We have two of the top 12 sack leaders both with 80 plus ratings right now.
We aren’t going to get anyone worth a damn for 6th. If we do great…. If not, I feel like we are just fine?
We are also on pace for 21 sacks at LB alone this year. We aren’t seeing some of that Barnes game plan we read about.

He appears completely cooked… 8 games played 0 sacks and only 1 qb hit. We did have him in for a visit in the offseason. It appears we made the right choice not to sign him

He’s only played 160 snaps.
I only saw him briefly the other night…
he didn’t look terrible… but didn’t stand out.
Had a nice play where he chased it down from behind the play.
I like Pouch Teams. My partners and I once briefly considered “Clown Pouch Holdings” as a name for one of our off-shore companies. We thought better of it, but it was in the running.
With Miami cashing out their GM ahead of the trade deadline I’d like to think that we have a shot at one of those guys. It was an interesting timing because is because they don’t want the guy they just fired doing the trade deadline? Do they have standing orders to the interim GM to hold or to sell? Really interesting

You’d have to believe that if the new GM isn’t just a puppet, that he’d be motivated to ship guys out who are going to be gone anyway for extra picks so he can turn over the roster. Phillips would be my choice. Pressure rate is excellent. Probably take a 4th or 5th round pick.
