Lions losing John Cominsky is more impactful than people think

Agree, versatile depth piece and glue guy.

Paschal, Wingo, Betts will need to fill his shoes

With all that said…he was also on the bubble to make the team.

That article feels very clip baity to me.

He was desperately needed for a line with little experience and consistency. He did the dirty work to help others flourish.

This team has more experience, leadership, and versatile guys than ever before… I think we can be a better DL even without him.

There is no doubt in my mind that the presence of the Commish will be missed. I don’t get all the “roster bubble” and “he’s done here” talk. Dude is a Lion through and through.

There was a time that the Lions could not win without the Commish, but that was 2 years ago. They’re definitely not better off now that he’s hurt, but this is a different team and if anyone was going to miss time this isn’t the worst possibility.

Commish was a roster lock , no debate about it

Not sure where y’all keep spinning this ,

But it’s certified silly.

I think between Levi and Paschal we’ll be able to adequately cover the Commish’s snaps on the interior, with Paschal able to play outside a bit too. Commish is versatile. Thought he played below average last year though. Seemed to be invisible most of the season, compared to previous year.

Cominsky would have had to fall on his face to not make the team. He’s easily top 10 DL.

The “veteran presence” that replaces him is DJ Reader. Who is already a leader on the D-line.
