I think we are okay at nickle and safety
But man I don’t like any outside corner on the roster outside of Reed.
That’s not Honolulu blue. Looks like the Colts are gonna be the dumpster fire.

PFF rankings for Corners for rock. Out of 114
80 for Run Stop not good BUT
Pass 50 OA 57
Thats NFL average for CB2. Im more than okay with that.
Compare that to TA. Which was bottom 20 across the board. Not even average for a backup. so really its an upgrade to have rock over TA.
McCreary was top 30 for Corners. So average to above average for CB3/NB
Harper & Maddox were top 15 OA safeties
Clark was top 20 for safeties
So based on that. The back 5 should be more than okay.

hope you’re right. But I’m still skeptical of the group. It just feels like the biggest weakness of the team in terms of overall talent and depth.

Without Branch and Kerby the secondary looks weak. In fact this looks like the worst roster we have had in the last 3 years. I know injuries have taken their toll and a poor draft 2 years ago has really hurt the roster, The salary cap will always be a factor. Guys like Ragnow and Branch are not easy to replace.

If I was a bottom roster Lion guys I would be very worried still. 4 WRs isn’t enough. Clearly a guy is coming in or coming back.

No chance. If there is one lesson to be learned, Dallas can’t identify talent for U of M DL. They drafted Taco Charlton and Mazi Smith, both who have been awful in the NFL. Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, they are not.

I am all for cheap depth, but Mazi Smith isn’t it. He has been awful in the NFL. It would be closer to bringing back Bro-Mart.

It sounded like Seth McLaughlin was dead man walking in terms of a roster spot. He miraculously survived—probably for at least 4 weeks until Mays returns from IR.
