And, in case I wasn’t clear…

I can understand Dan being mad. He wants his guys here and paid. Brad is looking long term and at the business side. Unfortunately not every can be kept. I think they franchise him and get a deal done by summer.
Brett Veach ain’t going nowhere. He could make a terrible trade a year for the next ten years and it wouldn’t erase his professional equity in Kansas City. After all, he was the dude who discovered Patrick Mahomes.
Veach relentlessly pushed Kansas City head coach Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey to target Mahomes for well over a year leading up to the 2017 NFL Draft, constantly sending clips and discussing his potential.
Convinced by Veach’s persistence and Reid’s eventual evaluation, the Chiefs traded up in the first round (from pick 27 to pick 10 with the Buffalo Bills) to select Mahomes.
With Mahomes at quarterback the Chiefs have won 3 Super Bowls and the franchise’s value has mushroomed from $2.1 billion in 2017 to an estimated $8.8 billion in 2026 according to Forbes team valuations.
That’s what they call in the business, “job security!”
Dan is mad because certain members of the media are being dickheads.
The question has been asked and answered.
Dan treats the media with more respect than most coaches and is far more open with them. It’s a punk move to repay that by asking the same thing a thousand different ways trying to invent Melrose Place drama that isn’t there, especially in mid-season.
That, sir, is a bridge too far.
You take that back.
Even Twatmuffins have standards.
Technically, we can tag him, which, will increase his pay. Then work out the contract details in early 28.My guess is, that will cost even more.
This is likely the Lions trying to save money on this years cap. You know. In case of emergency.
