Lions sign CB Mac McCain

I was thinking we need to go “Weekend at Bernies” on McCain to get him to play at an elite level because I don’t see him covering anyone otherwise lol

He’s got decent speed so that means he will get opportunities to show himself.

Good point. We should probably throw Megan in his grave as a place-keeper just to play it safe.

Aj parker sucks tho yote

Greensboro’s finest! I’ll be rooting for ya Mac!!!

The late great Charlie Sanders was from Greensboro, NC as well. Lots of talented football players from this area.

I agree but not at the start everyone or most thought he was as good a jacobs . He never really got bad the last half of 2021 an even then Lions gave him a chance this past season… Last i heard or read he was picked up by 49rs.

I think Jacobs is for real an should get even better.

I was thinking the same… plus he spent time on Denver’s PS as well… and they have one of the better secondaries in the league as well. It wouldn’t have been easy to make the active roster for a young CB from a small program.

Sure, but what is the coverage like?

It’s really going to sting when he somehow loses out on that last roster spot to Barack Obama.

Jacobs is a good player. He does a lot of things right. Upside for him is good.

Only real issue is health. Two major knee surgeries aren’t a good sign for a long career unfortunately.

We signed Mac McLung?

Gee, whaddya know, he tore his ACL in college.

Brad found another one!

Same knee as well, twice in the last 3.5 years. Imagine how good he’d be if he wasn’t playing on 1 knee.

That’s really the issue. I don’t think you can ink him in as a starter. Heck it’s hard to even pencil him in.

Anything you get is a bonus.

You have to plan accordingly that he may not be available on Sunday.

Unfortunately Okudah isn’t a whole lot better in this department either.

I’m hoping we enter the season with a plan to find two starting CB’s and a NB.

That’s true of almost everyone being signed right now. Most of them have deep, deep odds against making the roster.
