Lions to interview Steelers WR Coach Ike Hilliard

The Lions are interviewing Steelers receivers coach Ike Hilliard for the team’s offensive coordinator opening.

Hilliard was Washington’s receivers coach for six seasons before joining the Steelers in February 2020. He’s had coaching stops in Miami and Buffalo too. Hilliard is widely credited with the development of Terry McLaurin in Washington and Chase Claypool in Pittsburgh. If he’s hired, Hilliard might work with Kenny Golladay if the veteran re-signs with Detroit this offseason. Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Thursday that he wants an offensive coordinator who will work to get D’Andre Swfit in favorable one-on-one matchups and use the back as a slot receiver. Fantasy managers should listen closely to what the next Detroit OC says about Swift and his place in the offense.
