I think his laundry list of injuries made him the āmediocreā player we see today. I have no idea where the effort issues came from, because that was never a problem in college. I wouldnāt say he had a Bosa/Hutchinson type motor, but I canāt ever remember seeing a play where his effort just looked bad like we see now.
There was a rep against Wisconsin in the first game we played in 2019 where Chase absolutely demonstrates great power. It was on all of his highlight reels. He beat at least two blocks to get a sack including just one dude who he straight ran over.
He mightāve gotten that power with a burstā¦which Iād argue he may no longer have after the injuries heās dealt with. Keep in mind, he was a good player as a rookie in the NFL before the injuries settled in.
