Signing off of another squad means they have to count against your own 53 for a minimum of 3 weeks.
Signing a guy off your own squad means you’ll pay him league-minimum for 3 weeks, even once he’s waived (as they were today) and return to the practice squad (which we expect they will do tomorrow).

No to chase young. He’s a wasted roster spot. I’d much rather have key. Young was putting in half efforts in the nfc championship game with the 49ers. We don’t need a player like that.

kinda agree on Chase, but think he comes REAL cheap and just helps the rotation. If anyone can light a fire in his ass it is MCDC.

Looking like they are going full rebuild and those two players probably won’t be there for it considering Young’s contract and demarios age, add in former ties to the saints org
Surely the spare spot is for Zylstra, since he’s now been elevated three times and has usurped Hesse as TE3?
I thought that early, but then why not elevate Beauplan and simply sign Zylstra to the roster last week? Since they signed and waived 2 other players, and “elevated” Zylstra a 3rd time, I’m guessing he’ll stay parked on the PS.
What you’re saying is logical. It would make sense that Zylstra has passed Hesse, but I don’t know why they’d used Zylstra’s 3rd and final elevation chip, just to sign him the next week.
Sounds like someone Epstein would’ve traded for.

That would be a big let down. Jordan is washed and Young is a turd. I’d rather not make a deal than bring those two in.
