Noteboom signed a 3 year 40 mil contract to be their starting LT just two years ago. Then he tore his Achilles in 2022 but was the starter heading into camp in 2023. He had a chronic foot issues that were hurting his mobility. So they moved him inside and started Jackson outside. Some thought Noteboom would be cut in a cost savings move this offseason. Noteboom then took a pay cut to stay with the Rams, earning half of the cash he was paid last season on the promise he would compete for a starting spot. Even with the pay cut the Rams were still paying him more than they were Jackson.
There’s plenty of articles coming out of LA that think he might lockdown the spot and keep it.
They were saying he still doesnt have his legs back yet.
If he can he MAY be the starter by the end of the season. But as it was last week. jackson was better.
Notebloom is still struggling and recovering. It takes a WR a full year to recover from that injury. Even longer for a OL that needs the power in his legs.
