People need to realize we may very well end up with a first time coordinator! I’m fine with that but I get the feeling that won’t be real popular around here…..

I’ve come around to the fact that I’d rather have a young up and coming coach from a Shanahan or McVay offense than someone like Morton.
They have to do their due diligence. Even if they do want Mike McDaniel, that will take time to play out with no guarantee he chooses them. There are a lot of good coaches our there looking for their shot.
Completely random and slightly off topic, but I wonder which team is going to be the first to bring in an AI based coordinator. defensive or offensive.

Seattle nearly hired Hank Fraley to be their OC last year….
and a year later… a guy who reports to the guy that beat Hank out for the OC job…. may be hired to a position higher in the ranks than Hank has here in Detroit. 
Good interview a ton of guys then pick the right one.
Calling plays and running an entire offense compared to coaching oline are 2 very different things
Absolutely. Honestly we should interview as many people as possible. We won’t often be in this position.

Just so many factors. Not easy but the coaches previous scheme, his future plan for the Lions offensive roster, his personality and how he fits with the Lions culture, his experience level, his ability to teach. All important factors. I would assume Dan Campbell has a grading scale for candidate interviews. He’d be a fool not to. And then bring in the best ones for second interviews.
That’s why we have no idea what he will do as fans. We are just throwing blind darts.
You should consult. If you call yourself Stephen Wood the Ford’s will probably hire you.
