Lions working out Jay Ajayi today

Recently worked out for the Cards and Raiders I believe.
I’ll take anything at this point. Just hope he’s in better shape coming off that injury.

Jeez, I thought the guy was done
Does he have anything left?
He was little more than a flash in the pan?

No thanks…dude is toast.

Is he done? He’s only 26 and 1 year removed from a 900 yard season, 2 removed from a 1300 yard season so why not give it a shot?

Knee injuries are a killer for runners. I don’t mind the Lions giving him a chance to show he has anything left. But other teams with RB issues tried him out and passed. I mean Arizona worked him out and said no, but they signed Zach Zenner…that tells me all I need to know.

good luck to him, but I am thinking they will pass as well.

Sign him cheap. Cut him if he’s awful.

I didn’t know Arizona worked him out and declined. That’s a big red flag.
Eh, it’s worth a shot anyway.

In retrospect, they should have paid the cheap price for Drake.

Apparently Arizona would rather have Zenner.

We had 4 RB’s and 1 FB for most of the season until now. No reason why we can’t bring him aboard. It’s nearly a guarantee that he won’t last the rest of the season, but if he has any juice left, why not? Is Paul Perkins the better option? Unlikely.

How do you guys feel about Gordon? Pats released him too.

They also hired then fired Wilks inside of a year, to hire a guy who was fairly unsuccessful as a College coach who had just signed on to become the OC of USC. They are currently 3-5-1. So, yes they got Drake and that looks to be a good move I wish we had made. But I don’t think you can’t point to that franchise as some beacon of great decisions. Good to see that passion for Inge… I mean Zenner lives on though!

I’m just not sure how this would be a bad idea to at least see how he’s progressed.
Yah, knee injuries suck for RBs, but we need… well… something lol
I mean, chances are he doesn’t even sign. And if he does, chances are he barely gets utilized and gets cut… career done.
Best case scenario, his knees are in good shape, he provides a spark in the backfield, and we make a playoff push with at least a respectable run game.
Just my opinion.

Meh, no current WR’s that we have that I’d demote to take chance 17 on him.

The fact that we’ve heard absolutely nothing about possibly CJ Anderson coming back is a pretty good indication that Bridges were definitely burned when he was cut earlier in the year. Not that I’m advocating Anderson but he should be able to step in quicker than any back that hasn’t previously been with the team.

Ajayi does not suck . Not even close . The guy was injured and is now a 13 months removed from the injury, the problem was severe though (GRADE III – COMPLETE TEAR OF THE ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT)…the good news is he tore the ACL in his right knee freshman year and this injury was to the left , the precedent set as far as can he come back as he has proven he can .
Ajayi would be cheap investment should he return to form and would be a veteran beast like presences in the RB room and on the field if he still has juice .
I would love the signing if he can contribute .
He is a mean nasty runner that brings something we currently don’t have and have not had since LeShoure

I really do enjoy some of your input around here Cub… but I must say, this response is kind of annoying…
Can you elaborate as to why you think he sucks? I mean, we all have our own opinions, and I’d really like to see yours.

So who do you think the Lions should sign?
