Lynch reveals 49ers' QB plan if Purdy can't go vs. Packers

Who ya got?

As much as I can’t stand the 49ers, I can’t root for the Packers.

Of course the Packers are lucky enough to get them without Purdy. Just like they got the Rams without Kupp or Puka. Just like they got to play the Titans and Colts when they had to start Willis. No team is luckier.

Can’t root for the Pack or the Vikes while they entertain hopes of the playoffs. A third game against one of them is trickier than anything SF can throw at us.

Packers are so lucky:

49ers seriously might not make the playoffs. They got Packers, Bills, Lions and Cards all still on the schedule. 8 and 9ish looks likely with all those injuries

Superbowl hangover, right? The losing team usually misses the playoffs the following year… At least that used to be a stat, haven’t paid attention to it recently.

If you look at any playoff predictor it boils down to this:

NFC W Champ
NFC S Champ
NFC E Champ and 2nd
NFC N Champ and 2nd and 3rd

So unless they win the West they are out. Same with TB and ATL. The finish to West is going to be amazing. It seems obviously that it will end up being some tie breaker involved

and without Bosa.
I have no idea who to root for.
I’d actually like to see Seattle win the West.

I actually would like to see a tie or sf win out right. They dont seem much of a threat to the one seed so another loss for the pack would be helpful.

SF win with an asterisk :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::boom::innocent:

I hate the Packers.:rage::rage::rage:

Not that anyone cares about my fantasy team but Purdy is my bye week QB and this is my bye week

Dude had one job

I care, man. I care.

My opponent had to plug Chubb in as a bye week filler, so, yeah.

The 49ers are a part of that stat. In 2019 they lost in the Super Bowl to Kansas City and went 6-10 in 2020. JT O’Sullivan is not a fan of Kyle Shanahan and swears there is a “shelf life” to every QB in his system. QBs can look good for a period of time until defenses figure out what Kyle is doing with them. JT says that a QB needs the freedom to make nuanced tweaks to how plays are ran in order to adjust during games and stay ahead of the defense…but Kyle doesn’t give his QBs the freedom to do that. Its forbidden. So a QB looks good at first…the defense catches up…the QBs effectiveness deteriates…the QB gets replaced. JT is also not a fan of how Shanahan doesn’t prioritize protecting the QB and puts his QBs in harms way so often. So whenever you see a 49ers QB injured (again), JT says that is not a coincidence. Its inevitable based on how Kyle designs his plays and strings his playcalling together. But hey, it looks GREAT…until it doesn’t.

Brandon Allen will start for the 49er’s. I would have thought that Doubs would have been higher on the depth chart.
