If you would have said that Dusty May left UM and they only lost one player to the portal from that class…I would be very happy.
Good luck to Cason, he did well at UM and I hope he gets healthy enough to play at least half the season.

Weird basketball decision for Cason as he isn’t likely to play anywhere for at least the beginning of the season.
That leaves 2 options, money, family.
Either make sense. Michigan probably wasn’t offering a huge NIL deal for a player that wasn’t going to start and wouldn’t be playing significant time until January, if that.
Family. He’s from Florida. Being closer to family support could be a big deal when trying to rehab through post ACL surgery.
Taking a year closer to home could set him up for a big NIL deal in the 27-28 season for a deal with National Championship aspirations.

24 regular season wins and a top 4 finish in the B1G are pretty realistic expectations. And if they don’t attain both I’d probably want him replaced any way.
Conference “Tournament” titles are a much tougher task. Anything can happen in a 1 and done tournament.
Same with Sweet 16. Bracket match ups, having a bad game, matching up against a hot team, or sustaining an injury to a key player or two can definitely effect a successful March Madness run. We see upsets all the time in the NCAA tournament. Getting to the Sweet 16 should be attainable, but the any given Sunday rule definitely comes into play.
Wording seems to indicate only 2 of all the benchmarks need to be met to get that 2nd year. So get those 24 wins and top 4 finish in the B1G and he should be good to go.
