Michigan fires Campbell

I think that would be a great hire. Last coach to come from SF had some success at Michigan!

I’d be happy as hell if he came back home. I love having NFL coaches on our staff. Especially when they come from the Shanahan tree.

Yea, kind of neutral on Griese, he isn’t the play caller in SF that is Shanahan. No idea how good or bad he would be as an OC,

His UM ties mean nothing to me, I want to know more about the offense he would run.

I think Greise would be a gamble. They have to get a good coordinator. I’d be fine with Griese on staff, but not as coordinator. They need an established coordinator they are confident can build an offense around Underwood.

I agree with you 100% on Greise.

So should I be excited? Don’t know much here.

I’m with you. It seems like a good hire based off the numbers, but I don’t know much about the guy.

He should help with the passing concepts, but I think Moore will have to rein him in when it comes to the running game. A strong running game is a big part of Michigan’s identity in the Big Ten. They can’t lose that, and I don’t think Moore would allow that. They do need to get better in the passing game and Lindsey can help with that.

I think Lindsey likes a strong running game but will, as you indicate, improve UM’s passing offense which is needed.

If, when, he does that you will see more high profile QB’s and WR’s have interest in UM. Now, need UM to get the OT Haywood in the Feb signing period, would give UM two 5* OT’s in this class to go with Underwood.
