Rumor mill on this has gone nuke.
Has been detained by police. Not a rumor, reported by ESPN.
Possible disturbance at thr assistant’s home and him distraught and threatening to hurt himself. Rumor.

I’m a MI fan but the way the portal and NIL is today, putting a college team together is tougher than putting an NFL team together
He would have no idea who he would be getting on the team, Underwood and many others could be heading to the portal as we discuss this
What’s it with people destroying their lives? I’m seeing this in my personal life as well as out in the real world. Just people torching their reputations, lives and families over what amounts to getting their rocks off.

I’d say he has the best odds, but I haven’t really given a ton of thought to the possibilities. Pre NIL I would say keep an eye on David Shaw, post NIL I don’t know that the big money would accept that. Fisch is the safer pick, but we’ll see.
You are a good human being that plays life straight and I love that about you.
That being said, the people involved in this decision had no interest in playing it straight. They wanted to save money and win the PR battle at the same time. If they wanted him to be the HC of the football team, he would still be the HC of the football team and we would not know about this. If they wanted him as the HC and this somehow leaked in the background, they would stand behind him and say “noone is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. We believe in coach.”
The way things unfolded made it incredibly clear what happened. They wanted him gone…they had a golden ticket…and they cashed it in when everyone shook hands in agreement.

Do kids really need a reason to enter the portal anymore?
If they do they are probably younger fans. I watched Michigan struggle to find a coach to replace Carr. Then I watched them fail again before Harbaugh fell into their laps. There was no way they were going to land a coach like him at that time without connections.

You can’t have a sexual relationship with an intern who works for you. You’re just not going to survive that, and I’ve heard the same rumors as others here. There’s likely more to that story that’s not deniable for Moore. We will see in time.
I’m basing it on what I know of Warde Manual and the Michigan administration. This isn’t Ohio State, LSU etc. They don’t care about 9 win seasons. That’s pretty standard at Michigan for over 40 years. Moore was relatively cheap, and he had respectable seasons. That’s a win to the University of Michigan. His contract was manageable.
