Mike Florio thinks lions win Sunday

I will refuse to panic honestly until next year…If we keep playing like we are playing this year and finish 9-7 I won’t panic. I really feel like we are a young team learning what it takes to finish out games. It could be considered a similar scenario to the pistons of the 80’s and the Wings of the 90’s.They had to learn what it took to be champions before they became champions…maybe I am wrong, but I going to stay even keel until next year.

Line has moved a point in in Minnesota’s favor.

I think it gets -3 by kick off. We are getting blasted

I don’t think we get blasted by anyone this year. We didn’t get blasted by mahomes or rodgers. We are not getting blasted by Kirk Cousins. This team is in it till the final possession each week.

We can’t stop the run and we cant block pressure on obvious passing situations or run the ball.

I’ll be shocked if it’s within a touchdown.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see it.

But that isn’t exactly true. We have had games with 0 sacks and we have had games where we gave up crucial sacks. Didn’t help the refs not calling smith for offsides. We can run the football, just havn’t been doing it well yet…let’s see if that changes. It has to change if we are going to be successful. This game will be within a td if we lose…I am confident in that. This is the team that makes me the most nervous because of that defense and their line in particular. But I think we win…and its a close game throughout.

It just seems like the Lions are a bad match with the Vikings. The problem as I recall is the Lions offensive line can’t open holes for the RBs and they can’t withstand Minny’s rushers to get the ball down the field.

We didn’t have reliable TEs last year. That hurt. We didn’t have the secondary we do this year.

I think this will be a tight one.

Will depend on how well Minny’s passing game/QB plays is IMO.

Just because you don’t give up sacks doesn’t mean you did a good job of blocking especially when you are basically going max protect the entire game.

They bring alot of exotic and aggressive looks and the best way to get teams out of that is to run the football and have a TE who can take advantage of it. We had neither, so we got crunched. Hopefully we can find our run game against them, or at the very least get some production out of our TE position.

Great. Situations were we are getting points at home are the only time I will bet them.

Besides. We are going to win

Yeah, they esp like to do that double A gap blitz shit that for years Cooter could never figure out. I hope Bevell does better.

The TE will at least give them a quick outlet and some looks that they didn’t see last year with 12 personnel. Or at least more credible looks. Amendola should get some work.

I’ll have to go back and look at last years game.

They give the double A gap look but do alot of exotic things out of it. There are some pass rush designs that are nearly impossible to block. All you can do against it is either have someone leak out that can make them pay (like a TE) or run the football well (which forces them out of the exotic stuff in favor of lane integrity to defend the run). They had no respect for our run game or our TEs being able to hurt them…so they just brought the house every time and never feared getting burned. And they didn’t get burned.

I hope they have been saving a homerun play for Ty Johnson for this game so we can burn them right out of the gate.
But I’ll believe it when I see it.
They opened up quick on the Pack though.

They are all must win from here. They need everyone the refs will allow them to get to the next “show”.
What pisses me off? Knowing this teams record will never be as good as this team appears to be.
Of course, that could all just be part of the “entertainment”. In today’s NFL, you really have no way of knowing which teams are good. Could be Mr Wizard waving his magic wand putting a spell on the Refs.
