The 1972 Canada-USSR Series might be the greatest hockey event in Canadian hockey history. I was young but the hype and feel of desperation at that time is burned in my brain (and soul). Unreal.
The 1980 USA Olympic team beating the Soviets was just a nice story in comparison.
