Something bad had to happen here, right? Was the LBer supposed to take on that block. Was the safety supposed to keep depth. I mean I gues it could have just been the perfect play against the least perfect defense but gun to my head someone had to blow an assignment there.
Yeah it certainly seemed like they had enough guys near the line to handle it.
cannot believe Bears’ fans still chant “Bear Down”. It either sounds like their player is down or injured OR as in hunting bears, It would make sense to yell out "Bear Down ! " if one was killed. but I hate that cheer !

Now, the poetic part of the justice. All week, all the talk was about Kelce and how he looks terrible, slow, isn’t making catches, drops passes, what’s wrong with Tay Tay’s boyfriend? All week, the news from Chiefs was that they weren’t worried about Kelce and his touches. As long as they were winning thats all that mattered. There were no distractions to think about. All BS, because what did the Chiefs do to open the game? Force feed Kelce. Mid-homes then airmails Kelce and has it picked. Rashee Rice runs back and gets a hell of a punch out to cause a fumble, only to get his knee shredded by Mahomes. Now the Chiefs biggest actual weapon, who shouldn’t have been eligible to play to begin with, is done for the year on a hit by the same guy the league is desperately trying their hardest to carry to a 3 peat to keep the Swifties on board.
The irony script writers couldn’t have done it any better.

Their defense is for sure carrying them, but it’s also very getable. Chargers easily could’ve won this game if Alt plays and Herbert has any sort of mobility. The Chargers had an awesome 15 play, 8 minute drive from the 3rd quarter to the start of the 4th quarter. This is the textbook formula for beating the Chiefs. For some stupid reason, Harbaugh went all Danny Campbell, turned down taking the lead by kicking a FG, and went for it with a terrible 4th down playcall. That amazing drive, and they walked away with nothing.
Chiefs finally started feeding Hunt, and put together some ok drives, then got a good drive into the endzone. That was the ballgame at that point. Harbaugh played the book well and had the Chiefs on the rope, but he put too much on an ailing Herbert and lost the game because of it.

I felt a relief years ago too when I stopped betting on the games. And with the Lions resurgence, I’ve learned to only watch the college and pro games that really matter to me. It’s a much better balance now. It only took me 74 years. LOL
