I like this draft. It is sort of doing what I was doing with mocks. Its giving the Lions versatility on D after getting their OT in the first. I think its very likely the Lions will do something like this. You got Gabe Jacas and then doubled up with Reiger for the big end. Then you take Rivers and Louis to give you a nickel and big nickel/LB hybrid. Not sure those players will be there but I see (I think) what you are trying to do.
This above was my attempt this morning. Same kind of deal, but I was drafting LBs later. I llike Miller as a versatile DT to rotate. I think we need a guy and I really like him. Parker just fell to me so I took him. The rest are guys that give us versatility.
I think Harold Perkins could interest the Lions if he falls far enough just because they would probalby see him as a chess piece. Mayybe he develops into a weakside. But I dunno, I could see him all over the field giving them some versatility in how they rush the passer or play like big nickel or something.

It’s the best one imo. Most versatile at least, with the best functionality, most realistic trade engine, ability to back out of picks, switch what team you’re drafting for mid draft, switch draft boards, etc …

I think I traded up or down with every pick but no picks from next year involved. We get a solid RT. We get 2 rotational DEs that can help now but also have some upside so Hutch doesn’t have to go 90% of the snaps. We get a Safety and an outside CB that can also play now. Both are long and fast that could become future starters. And finally, another speedster from the SEC who will have to play special teams until he can battle for some playing tim as a Will LB.

And then Mike Ditka’d their 2027 draft for checks notes Eli Stowers
Also Jets moved up for Jacob Rodriguez not Ty Simpson who was available
So I’ve weighed Mesidor to the Lions and on some level it makes a lot of sense. He is probably maximized at 25. But he brings a lot of what the Lions want to the table and he is plug and play ready. I just have a really hard time getting my mind around drafting a guy 25 whose been playing against guys that are 19-20.

Yeah, that is the appeal for sure. If the Lions are win now he is ready now. I was watching somebody, maybe Brandon Thorn, and the discussion basically centered around how Mesidor is good enough that he shouldn’t be merely considered the guy on the other side of Bain. He is very good in his own right
I’d be pretty happy if we walked away from this draft with those first 3 players.
