I think that while Alim and Tyleik aren’t true NTs, if we add to the middle of the line it will be a pressure guy. I’d be fine with Banks who’s a Chris Jones type who could play outside on early downs, or a more standard 3T like Proctor or Robinson, but Corleone is pure run-plugger and that’s not the route I would go. Tyleik is Reader’s replacement, even if it’s not like-for-like.
Davis I just think is far too stiff, which leaves him struggling to catch up and makes him handsy. He’s fine, and I do like the idea of a long press guy, but there are a lot of DBs I prefer in his range. I’m a bigger fan of his teammate Ephesians in fact.
Keep in mind Banks is 6’6” 330 and he is much better when he is lined up as a 5T DE. Dan wants a big DE that can crush the can there you go. There is some risk because he is coming off a foot injury. In my mind that just means he comes at a discount. Had he not had the injury he would be gone top 10 easy. I’d take the chance on that upside if the price is right.
