Mock Simulators 2026

Unrealistic but fun one

Apparently cleveland in the simulator really likes sorsdal

With the sim I’ve been using which has a consensus big board, every time I try to trade down only the OT hungry teams make offers. I think this might be realistic. If we have an OT we like, trading down might be out of the question.

This was after a trade down to Miami

On mock draft Database, if you save the draft at the end. You will be able to see all picks.

For the draft I posted that was all my picks. I traded down in the 1st but packaged numerous day 3 picks to move up. Without knowing who will be available this would be my strategy going into this draft.

Several trades with next years draft in mind…

Yep, that’s pretty much my wet dream draft. And I didn’t even look at the players you took lol. Get me that many picks in 2027 and I’m dancing in the street.

Bare minimum I hope we can use the DMONT pick and get a 2027 3rd.

I don’t know if many instances team trading down from 50 to get future round 2 pick… those usually only happen top of round 2.

If we moved down from 50 to let’s say mid 3rd we could have 3 more day 3 picks to package and trade up or punt for future year picks.

It won’t be easy. It doesn’t happen most years and this year will be especially difficult with teams hoarding their 2027 picks like their own children. The Jets and Cowboys are lucky to have already traded for 1st rounders next year (and GB doesn’t have one, which is great). I think it played a bit part in Baltimore backing out of the Crosby trade too

Bain is too small. He’s got alligator arms.

I’d be happy if we get out of this draft and Brad has not squandered any premium picks from next year. I know the sims aren’t always accurate but there is a sweet spot for DBs late day 3 and into round 4. I think Miami holds multiple 3rd round picks that is why I chose them as a trade partner in that mock. I think I did swap 1s and we get 2 of their 3rds, we add a 4th and a 6th or whatever to even it out.

I know you’re a big Kilgore fan, sell me on him would you? Maybe I’ve been too influenced by our brass, but when I watch him I want to see a guy who’s more physical, I don’t like the way he takes on blocks, and I really don’t like the way he loafs when the play isn’t coming toward him.

That said I had similar issues with Emmanwori last year (not the loafing, but the lack of physicality), and the latter was remedied by letting him play faster. So I’m trying to be more forgiving, but every game I watch of Kilgore’s I notice it.

With Kilgore I really haven’t seen what he does when he is away from the action but what I do see are his ball skills and length that really show up at the catch point. he is explosive when breaking on the ball. He plays with the attitude that the ball is his or nobody’s. He can eliminate TEs in coverage and I have never seen him shy away from contact to indicate he is soft or not physical. When you add up his size (length) and speed I see a lot of upside for an already good player. Maybe the all 22 could show different than what I have seen.

I don’t know that I’d say he shies away from contact (except when he’s not in the play), more like he’s just not overly physical. Or maybe it’s not as physical as I want him to be. You see it when he’s taking on blocks a lot, he lets smaller guys get into his frame, almost like he’s reading-and-reacting (maybe that’s how he’s coached, but other guys don’t do it). And while willing, he’s also much more of a drag-down tackler than I want him to be, he dives at feet too often, and like I said, takes it easy away from the play.

It’s possible I’ve been programmed to punish guys like that overly harshly, but that’s what I see when I watch him. I DO notice that people are all over the place on him, some say he doesn’t come downhill well, while others say the opposite, some say good tackler some say bad, so perhaps I just watched some of his lesser games.

If Kilgore is not your cup of tea there are plenty of other DBs expected to go in that general area. Stukes, Haulcy, Clark, Wheatley, Ramsey and a few others. Then the CBs too. Abney, Muhammed, Everette, Lee, Neal etc. I just see that late day 2 area where we can come away with 2 good DBs however you want to mix and match. We have the ammo to move up and get 2.

Oh I know, and I like a lot of them. I was just interested in your take on Kilgore since I haven’t been able to come around on him.

I think Stukes will go a lot higher personally, though his age probably caps his ceiling. And I’ve got Abney graded as a 1st rounder, so I love him. But I don’t think he’ll fall anywhere near that range. I have him in that Chris Johnson, Cisse, Hood tier. I probably have Stukes and Keionte Scott at the end of that tier as well, though their profiles are weird and I can’t say for certain where they go. I also seem to be a little higher on Devon Marshall, Devin Moore, Zeke Masses, and Prycock than you, I have them all in that late day 2/early day 3 tier. And I love Jadon Canady, but he’s a different sort of player. Pure slot like McCreary. I also think Robert Spears-Jennings and Isaiah Nwokobia will (should) interest us at S, on top of the guys you mentioned.

I agree, I think those are the guys were sifting through if we don’t move up. I like Spears-Jennings. i just see a lot of DBs that I like but you are much more clued in as to where these guys are project to go than I am.

The sims generally give us a good idea, but they can be a little slow to catch up. I’m still trying to figure out why so many of them are so low on Tiernan, though I suppose his profile makes him a little difficult to place. Though like Fano I’m sure his arms will magically grown 3/4 of an inch at his pro day.

Been fooling around with trades similar to this.
