I understand that. You, like me, is a logical person that trusts my eyes vs trusting their words. Do a quick comparison. Look at the old 49ers run plays and pass plays. Compare them to Morton’s. You’ll see the drawn out run plays. You’ll see the quick passing game with crossing routes and screens. I’m pretty confident you’ll see what I’m saying.
But that’s my issue. My issue is that is impossible to determine what the actual initial play was AND if it was an execution issue or a scheme playcalling issue. For instance we know that Jared goes to the line with multiple answers to the test. Did he decipher Flores pre snap look correctly? That is just one variable. Or is the simplicity that you are observing bc of what the IOL can handle as @thats2 has theorized.
My main point is we simply don’t know and we aren’t supposed to.
Makes sense. But let’s analyze that. Jared possibly could or could not be going from a bad play, to a bad play. All we can do is look at the results. The NFL is a results business. So based on that, Jared didn’t check into bad plays last season or the season prior. But now, his checks are getting stoned. Gotta be the play calls.
How can you blame a coach when the talent is totally different from last season? That OL isn’t the same. The talent is less. Brad knew Rags was retiring but because his pass mistakes, he had to draft in another direction. Maybe Holmes will be humbled if we don’t make the tournament

We definitely beat GB on Thanksgiving.
You don’t not draft a good player at a position because you have a 32 year old journeyman on the roster.
For the role we do have at WR3 Jackson Meeks would been a perfectly suitable Patrick replacement.

Until we demonstrate we can handle their defensive lines – something this o-line has failed to do – how can I say we won’t lose and still maintain a semblance of intellectual honesty?
