Monty. The dude just makes plays after plays on the offense side of ball.
Defense im going with Kerby he keeps making key picks at the right time. Hutchinson is like a sliver behind him

Monty of Offense
Hutch on defense
And I do not think it is that close
But Joseph has been solid for sure. But I think Branch is better than Joseph soooooo
Bottom line this team has some players
Love Monty but it’s a team effort. Without a competent OL, no RB can look good.
Plus, without the threat of a dangerous passing game, the running game gets stuffed. You’ve also got the WRs blocking downfield. Total team effort.
Monty and Hutch are next-level “here, hold my beer” players through 4 games.
While I do agree for the most part. Monty has on several occasions appeared to be stopped, but he powers his way through defenders. It’s amazing to watch.
It’s hard to narrow it down to just a couple players. There’s so many MVPs on this team that it’s scary. Some guys, like La Porta, are just plain studs, but haven’t caught their footing yet. Once they do… I fear for the other teams in the league. If we can stay healthy, I think we are a team of destiny. These dudes have a single focus this year. There is not a team out there we can’t play with. Though the Ravens do scare me a little bit when they get things going.
I was super concerned but after watching Glasgow yesterday we may be all right. I get that Seattle had injuries up front but the Oline looked great.
Tone setters. To me MVP’s are the tone setters. Monty sets the tone of the offense w his 62% success rate running the ball. That is INSANE.
Hutch with his non stop motor sets the tone on defense. The reality is are no longer a stafford suh megatron centric team w alot of fillins. This topic can and should ne debated bc there is merit to branch, joseph all being defensive mvp and for sewell and JAMO being MVP. This team has dawgs all over.
There was a time losing players like branch and ragnow meant we would lose and specifically bc they were gone and their replacement sucked. These aren’t our dad’s detroit lions.
Can’t argue with than,
You want to know who else is having a pretty good year? Brock Wright. He’s doing everything right. Nice to see him step up.
Hutch for sure on D. Monty has been very good. Check this out though.
Monty 72 touches 365 yards and 4 TD’s
Gibbs 65 touches 361 yards and 4 TD’s
Best RB combo in the nfl!!!
Can they both get to 1k?
Rushing yes. Total yards both on pace for 1500 and 17 TD’s. Insane.
Hutch = Defensive MVP
Sewell = Offensive MVP
Foxx = ST MVP
Offensive honorable mention = Monty and Gibbs
Defensive honorable mention = Joseph
Yup - athletic, highly active, relentless, smart, & impacting in so many ways.
watch him swiping at balls when he makes tackles, and even when he cant’ get to the tackle…watch his outside in, tackling and how it’s improved…how he’s using his hands/arms to play passing lanes, how his faith is SO high in his abilities…he’s a really really great weapon that you have to account for in many ways.
this cat ix always giving opponent QB something to think about.
Agreed. W/the D generally stepping up this year, the O having stepped back a bit until last night, and Fox, especially, doing some nice work on ST, Detroit’s success really does feel like a true team effort. Defense is necessarily a team effort, but on offense it really is by design - we hear a lot about “balance” and about Ben Johnson’s scheme being about “taking what the defense gives.”
And, on offense so far, Monty is absolutely the tone setter. That catch and run was one of the most spectacular effort plays in memory.
Hutch is resetting the market next offseason… $35 million per year easy… He’s great
I agree with Monty, dude is a bowling ball with legs. Everything we do on offense starts with Monty.
c’mon, man…the OL is totally carrying him (see what I did there)
I did see that. You’re not wrong we have the best O-line in the league.
(see what I did there)
