To be fair, the only young talent on the DL that Holmes has hit with is Hutchinson, and we aren’t getting rid of him. If Holmes had been effective drafting on the DL, this trade may have been a possibility.

Fact of the matter is he has nearly struck out.

Would be interesting to see if they’d have taken that deal. My guess is they would have, but who knows? I doubt Holmes ever makes a deal like that.

Garrett is the one guy I always said was actually good enough to move a lot for (as opposed to most of the guys suggested on here), but I suspect Cleveland wouldn’t do the deal unless a young edge was tossed back their way.

So the question is, would any of you have done it if we had to include Hutch?

Honestly, I wouldn’t even consider that trade. Jack Campbell is all-pro LB’er just entering his prime. Garrett is going to be turning 31 years old during the season and is making over 40mil a year.

If this was 5 years ago, I’d do it in a second.
