New site traffic record

@Nate, @moderators Congrats on staying afloat during the high traffic epiode. Hopefully there weren’t too many speeding tickets! This site means a whole lot to many of us!

As a relatively new member of The Den (about 5 years now I believe), I appreciate everybody welcoming me, and others, in and making it feel like a Lions family. I spent years looking for an active Lions board and posted on Lions sites with far less traffic until I stumbled upon The Den and was wondering where this gem was hidden for so long.

Kind of crazy that a good chunk of you have been around 20+ years and that the site is still stronger than ever through all sorts of changes (from what I hear) mostly due to the hard work of @nate so thanks for giving us a place to vent all our Lions frustrations and to celebrate our 2024 Superbowl victory and beyond

I’d love to be the fly on the wall during those meetings.

True, right up until you realize how well they’re all paid.

We all get free access for life for supporting the team the past many decades. Nate then charges all the newcomers the you haven’t known the suffering fee.

Unless of course they’re bald when they join up. Then they get free access for making good life decisions. Lol

Sorry, couldn’t resist the opening. It’s weezy’s fault. He is really a bad influence.

When my wife and I visit Detroit we make sure to visit The Den office building.
I imagine it as the Daily Planet building from Superman, only much bigger and with more daily followers.

This is just the starting point for Nate, his goal is to become the next owner of the Detroit Lions, and even the elections for the president of the USA are not far away, with so many followers anything is possible.
Vote for Nate.

You were doing so right up until that last line.

Although can you imagine if The Den was used to make consensus decisions around the team? What’s the worst that could happen? Going winless? Psht.

How can it be worse than

“BRIAN CALHOUN!”

GREAT IDEA, WHO SAID THAT??? CALL IT IN!

If the Den was drafting we’d have Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith. I think Brad is going to be hard-pressed to beat that with the guys he took at those spots.
