New York Giants kicker completely misses ball on FG attempt

Anyone who’s played golf understands what just happened… Usually happens for me about 50 yards out after a great drive… CHUNK!

If he did it deliberately it was a really bad decision based on the outcome.

The money angle.

Having it kicked low and blocked could have resulted in a TD return.

Hard to say what the best outcome should be when the snap is bad… and the hold isn’t down on time.

The holder could have thrown the ball away since he was outside the tackles… and it wouldn’t have been as big a loss… actually would have been less than a missed FG.

I know the routine, replace my divot and pretend it was a practice swing.

Well I appreciate your opinion but I don’t agree at all. His body language says differently. He is lucky he did not injure his kicking foot or ankle.

That’s Koo…. you do you.

He’s a professional kicker that has made 86% of his kicks over 8 seasons.

I’ll tend to believe he knew that the operation was not on time…
and decided to abort the kick because of that.

.

Do you really believe he “chunked” a kick by a foot???

Prop bet bro. Check Chauncey’s Caymans accounts for a Zelle to Koo

Koo definitely aborted the kick. On replays, you can see that the holder gets the ball and as he is getting it down, the nose of the football is sliding away on the turf. The holder quickly gets the ball back upright but it’s too late for Koo, so he purposely toe picks the ground on the kick to avoid making it worse. Koo said the same thing after the game.
