2000 jag XK8 owner here… the battery is in the trunk that does not have a mechanical handle and only opened with a electric button so when the battery dies, it’s inaccessible…until a YouTube search reveals there’s a key hole HIDDEN in between the X and the K of the model plate.
It’s the most stupidly jaguar thing ever. Perfectly on brand.
Convertible, been well cared for and generally trouble free, but only has around 70k on the clock. It’s been generally relable for me, only issue currently is the gas gauge doesn’t really work so I just top off whenever I have it out. Not too shabby for a Jag lol
Growing up, my Dad had a V12 XJS with Lucas electrics , so I find the Ford V8 to be a tremendous improvement reliability wise lol
