2000 jag XK8 owner here… the battery is in the trunk that does not have a mechanical handle and only opened with a electric button so when the battery dies, it’s inaccessible…until a YouTube search reveals there’s a key hole HIDDEN in between the X and the K of the model plate.

It’s the most stupidly jaguar thing ever. Perfectly on brand.

Very nice looking car, hardtop or convertible?

Temperamental rep….hopefullyyours has been well maintained.

Convertible, been well cared for and generally trouble free, but only has around 70k on the clock. It’s been generally relable for me, only issue currently is the gas gauge doesn’t really work so I just top off whenever I have it out. Not too shabby for a Jag lol

Growing up, my Dad had a V12 XJS with Lucas electrics , so I find the Ford V8 to be a tremendous improvement reliability wise lol

I can relate on the gas situation, exact same for me.

You got the custom plates for it?

The cost of dropping the tank far exceeds the inconvenience lol

Yeah……..that’s pretty much the same thing my mechanic told me.

I agreed with him……and here I am, all these years later.

Heard something that made me sick this week.

The OG Austin Powers. He went from 1967 to 1997.

Today he would have been frozen from 1996 to 2026.

Austin powers if it were made today
