Not bad company to be in. Sheesh.
Sayers made the HOF after having 4.5 really great seasons…
so I guess Gibbs is only about 2 more years away from being a lock for the HOF.
It is very impressive.
When someone, anyone, complains about the contract Gibby gets:

please no one take this seriously.
Gale Sayers was a national sensation in a way that Gibbs is not. Brian’s song, far more concentration in terms of how we’re the star athletes. Lastly, back then RB was right there with QB as the star position and that has changed quite a bit. It’s much harder for RBs to get into the Hall of Fame now but he is undoubtedly well on his way. I think it’s probably like 4 more years at this level of production to be a shoo in but who knows. So many awesome modern players that still aren’t in the Hall of Fame.
Agreed… it was a slightly “tongue in cheek” comment, but also made to highlight how amazing his first 3 years have been.
I think the other side of the above stat is that Goff’s play is probably under appreciated nationwide bc he probably ends up with like six less bunny TDs every year than a lot of QBs. We approach the green zone is fairly differentiated compared to the league norm. This likely inflates these numbers for RBs but is punitive to Goff and to a lesser extent our pass catchers.
You Absoloutely can NOT draft a RB that high, and Holmes should be fired.
Also, Bijon is better.

Piggybacking here:
We haven’t won a Super Bowl, so it was a wrong move that made no sense.
17 game seasons vs 16 or 14 helps. But Gibbs also lost many TDs to Monty.
Time for Fontes to start taking him out at the 10 yard line
I never had that problem. I was thrilled with the pick, and, I’m on record.
“Hell, yes!” That was my response.
But, I’m old school.
Imagine what Barry could’ve done if he were to play today
