Just look at these opponents lol. I don’t even think the Niners are that great anymore but this is the definition of a cupcake schedule. If CMC stays healthy they win 13 games easily. Niners could end up with 15 wins and the Lions 10 and the Lions would destroy them.

The funny thing about “difficulty of schedule” is that there are always surprises where some teams are much better than expected (last year’s Vikings, Commanders, Broncos), and others that are much worse (Cowboys, Jaguars, Niners). By the end of the season, it often ends up where the level of difficulty has completely flipped and what appeared to be an easy schedule going in turns out to be one of the most difficult, and vice-versa. At the start of last season, everyone thought our schedule was pretty brutal based on prior year. A lot can change in a year and even during a season.
I think the Colts with Daniel Jones are going to surprise people. I also think the Falcons, Panthers, Bears and Jags could be better than expected. Playing at Houston & Tampa is never easy, and their own division is pretty strong as well.

Its funny you say this, because the 49ers draft went like I was hoping our draft might go with the first two selections. They really beefed up the run defense to compete with the Lions and Eagle.s

Pretty much all of the teams you listed are mid level teams at best. There will be no “flipping” of how hard the Niners schedule will be. It looks like a cake walk now and it will look like a cake walk at the end of the season.
Jags- Lawrence is a terrible QB and their coach is a clown. Their operation is a joke and they will be a bottom feeder once again.
Colts- Daniel Jones is a much better QB than people think. I agree they are going to be better than expected and probably win 10 games.
Bears- Garbage. Caleb is garbage. 8 win team at best.
Panthers- Better than expected? Maybe. 7 win ceiling in the easiest division in football.
Falcons- Penix is not a good QB and Morris is one of the worst head coaches in the NFL. Falcons haven’t done anything in the easiest division in football for years. There is no reason to believe that they are going to do anything this year.
Texans- Mid level team. Benefit from playing in the easiest division in the AFC. Lions turned the ball over how many times and still won in Houston? Yeah… real tough place to play.
Tampa- Mid level team benefiting from playing in the easiest division in the NFL. Probably won’t even hit double digit wins.

I’ll take the Rams in the West. I would love to see a break down of strength of schedule before the start of the season and how it looks after. Would be great to see it over the last 10 years. So many factors that can’t be forecasted accurately imo.
The Rams should do very well. They have a nice roster and the addition of Adams is going to be huge. They do have some tougher games than Niners

They beat us, at full strength, at home, last year.
Rams probably have the best momentum going into the season. If they stay healthy, and that’s a big if with Stafford and that OL, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the SB. Adam’s on paper looks like a perfect fit as well.
I will say that schedule looks pretty weak… A lot can change due to injuries though.

I don’t see the Niners as the #1 seed. That seems like a super long shot. That team peaked several years ago. Weak schedule or not. The teams playing them are probably thinking the same thing.
