Not Perfect... But OMG

Exactly, I don’t watch college football so I’m not up on all the names…but I think trying to figure out what Brad is going to do isn’t worth the time. At this point we can trust he is going to find players that will help us win games.

Same. I still read a lot of the mock threads… Great dudes posting good stuff. Also lots of laughs and gifs.

But my deep dive will happen after I know who the Lions actually drafted. Then I will watch a ton of film on our new guys.

The Lions being a great team has changed my draft excitement massively. And that’s such a positive trend. Hopefully we pick late 1st round for a decade or 2

Ok…and is the “best player” someone who is a captain? Someone who gets production? Someone who had great measurables? How much does “ceiling” play into it? How much does “ready now” play into it vs ceiling? Warrior energy - to- talent ratio?

We can pretend it’s " that easy", but …some GMs kick the rest of the NFL’s ass consistently. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. Clearly, different GMs value different things, otherwise we wouldnt’ even need to have a draft in the first place. IMO, BPA has a ton of instinct/gut in the decision, as well as measurables, mixed in with warrior energy…Personality type the identifies as a worker, has faith to grow and not get discouraged, and much, much more.

It’s on my no fly zone. Brad’s reputation around the league, acknowledgment by media, commentary by himself and reviews of past picks are not enough to sway others. I lack the patience to discuss a subject where others’ own commentary refutes their position but they cannot see it. It’s not just BPA, there are several topics where people are too locked in.
