NOTEBOOK: Goff puts up another outstanding performance in win over Vikings

Rookie defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson has upped his total to 7.0 sacks this season. He passes Kalimba Edwards (6.5) for the fourth most sacks by a rookie in franchise history. He is the first player in team history to log at least 7.0 sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery in a season.

Fellow rookie James Houston recorded his fourth sack in just his third game since being activated from the practice squad. The only rookies in team history to record at least one sack in three straight games are: Houston, Cliff Avril (2008) and Tracy Scroggins (1992).

Lions rookies have now produced 12.0 sacks on the season, which leads the NFL and ties the franchise record set in 1987 for the most combined sacks by rookies in a season.

Yo Holmes!!!

I’ve heard the current Goff/Lions situation comp’d to the Alex Smith/Mahommes sitch…I get it, but wasnt Smith like 33 and already on the downside? Point is, Goff is in his prime at only 28…the team may have their QB for at least the next 3-5 years imo, pending they want pay him top $ especially if he wins a div/playoff games by next season.

Goff is an enigma. He is the worst quarterback who has ever been according to the internet, but he’s also better than Alex Smith has ever been. So it stands to reason that he should be replaced by a QB that is much worse than Patrick Mahones. Get used to bitching about Levis.

Nice to see Goff getting some kudos from media and his fellow players

I like that Goff has cut down on the turnovers. 1 pick in the last 6 games is winning football.

Hutch has a chance at 10 sacks. 4 games to go and he needs 3 sacks.

Very true, brother. SO much has improve D with our guys.

I love him getting his accolades, but not really worried about it …it’s coming.

He’s so close so often.

-more strength
-more conditioning
-more experience/knowlegee
-more focus
-& above all…MORE HELP

With some interior pressure, Hutch is gonna be a MONSTER statistically. His ceiling is higher than I thought it would be

And Paschal has been hurt, but he could be another stud!

For sure, man. The way Holmes is Drafting, we’re gonna have WAY too many talentes guys …what will we Do with them all? You can only have 53 on a team.

Trade 'em? Yep trading for more picks? Higher picks? WTF are we gonna Do with all the talent? You can’t keep them all.

Going through our cuts will be like a second mini- Draft for the rest of the league.
