Offense needs to do the heavy lifting

We still have some pretty solid pieces on defense. Especially if Davis can return. But with the injuries, new faces and chemistry I would be shocked if we continue to hold some of our next opponents under 20 points. The offense is relatively healthy. They need to step up, forcing teams to play catch up to help the Defense. We cannot afford some of these dry spells the offense tends to get in games and we need to get back to our high percentage red zone offense (no field goals). The offense is talented enough to get us through these next few games while the defense adjust to new personnel and gets a few bodies healthy. We are good enought to continue winning but it rest on the offenses shoulders now.

I thought maybe this should have been in the bench Jamo thread, but he only weighs about 180 so that’s not really heavy lifting.

I hope Decker is back because the offense seems to run much better when he’s in, and Skipper can go back to his sixth lineman role. The two games that Decker has been out were not the offense’s best games.

I believe the offense will do some heavy lifting they did it in the first half against Chicago. Carlton Davis returning really help the secondary. We have the best safeties in the league and solid cornerbacks.
