Finally get to watch a game and already down 1-0
The most underrated player in baseball has a single, double, and stolen base today.

Why not just have him on the opening day roster if you’re not going to manipulate service time for an extra year of team control?
Because the Pirates are the Arizona Cardinals of MLB
I just took Griffin out of my na slot but had no where to play him. My offense is stack. I regularly have to bench Bichette Altuve and Chandler Simpson. So I made a trade. I gave Rutschman Trout and Trea Turner. I got the big dumper Valdez and McGill in return.
So I built my team around pitching…Spent many high picks on pitchers.
So far this week, 0 wins, 0 quality starts, a Whip of 1.72 and an ERA of 9.
Those stats would be pretty good if this was a ladies over 50 slowpitch league. ![]()
Absolutely embarrassing effort. @socko had the right idea the whole time.

I don’t draft pitching at all until after every one of my hitting targets are gone. I fill my pitching with good young arms. Some good old timers, and great holds guys. I am usually right at the top of the standings doing it this way. After my trade goes through I will screenshot my team. Keep in mind that its a 16 team league so everyone has holes. Im curious to see what you think.
Likey
Drafting starting pitching high is the ultimate leverage play, but leverage Cuts both ways, as we’re seeing in the stock market right now too
You get three starters on hot runs and you are just crushing wins ERA WHIP strikeouts quality starts total bases.
Power slob strategies can work. Slap hitter speed bug strategies can work. Reliever heavy strategies can work. Lots of ways to skin a cat in a head to head league.
Yep makes sense. I’m learning. Never played before. Sure am wasting way too much time on it though
Stay away from Fenway and Wrigley field and Rockies pitchers.
That’s pretty deadly for a 16 team mixed setup
Thank you. Its my first year playing in this league. Everybody voted for me to take over my Grandpa’s team. We keep 4 hitters and 3 pitchers so he left me set up very nice. He was really good at fantasy baseball.
9 years $140M for Konnor Griffin from PIT.
I hope we can get McGonigle for 10 years if we sign him soon.
Luis Arraez with a double, stolen base, and now a triple all this week:

9 years though. 3 FA years for a guy that has the talent to reset the market. At that point, in 6 years, what is that #? $75m/yr? Maybe.
$140m guaranteed before taking a swing is a better deal in a short time, relatively, to the crime Acuña signed. Different circumstance to a small degree, but Acuña should absolutely sit out camp next year until they drop the bag on him
Getting a triple from a slow ass dude is one of the true joys of raw stat fantasy. In batting average and even slug leagues, it totally gets lost in the wash
@CuriousHusker you might want to put Konnor Griffin in your everyday lineup from now on. Kid looks like a stud.
