Official The Den 2026 Fantasy Baseball League Thread

You compete against one other team each week in many different “categories.” I believe we have 8 hitting categories and 8 pitching categories.

Whoever has a better overall total in each category gets a “win,” and whoever has less gets a “loss.”

I’m pretty sure that’s how we’re doing it anyway. I don’t think I set it up to where you only get one “win” per week for beating your opponent in overall categories.

We’re not doing points.

The turn is a really good spot to have. Yeah you don’t get one of the best players in the sport but you can dictate the entire draft.

The key to winning = drafting chunky Blue Jays.

In football you can go in once a week, set your lineup, and be done with it.

In baseball you need to set your lineup daily. It only takes a minute or two.

Right.

I didn’t read his post very well.

Yahoo also has a feature you can click once a week where it will auto sub guys for the whole week. So if you have a guy who isn’t playing on Thursday, you can go in and click a button and it will automatically sub him out on Thursday if you have someone else who can play that day.

And it does that for your whole team, including projected start days for starting pitchers.

Wait until after we draft, play around a little with your lineup, then ask the questions.

It will be much easier for me to explain it when you can look and see what Im talking about.

My current keeper league has been intact since 2002. In all those years I have never used that feature.

I don’t trust yahoo to think for me.

I don’t usually use it either but it’s handy for people who want to do this but don’t want to keep up with it every single day.

One more question. What about players who play multiple positions? Do they count as a right fielder if they play 3rd base half the time? And vice versa.

It shows next to their name where they are currently eligible.

If a CF starts 5 games at 3rd base, he will then gain eligibility as a 3rd baseman as well as still being eligible at CF

A good example of this is Bichette. He is currently eligible at ss because he played that position only last year.

He is now supposed to play 3rd base with the Mets so once he starts 5 games at 3rd he will be eligible as both a ss and 3rd baseman.

So it doesn’t matter which position the player plays that particular day then?

Take Springer for example. He’s usually a DH but he does play the outfield once a week. Does he count as an outfielder and a DH then?

You can put him in either spot in the lineup.

We don’t have a dh slot though. We have 3 utility slots. You can put any player in those spots

Okay final question. Does defense matter at all? Like if a guy makes errors does that impact his value?

It doesn’t matter what position they are actually playing that specific day. If a player is eligible for a position, you can play him there.

Am I conveying my thoughts in a way you can understand?

Some leagues use defensive stats. Ours does not.

So no. Defense doesn’t matter at all.
