yes. Before he was traded out of the organization he had torn up low ball heaters with pretty good velocity and college pitchability. Then in the upper minors and majors the concerns of a a like of life on the fastball and no true plus secondary pitch started to manifest. I can’t speak to his current performance and it’s staying power. Maybe he’s changed a grip or figured something out or maybe this is just a small sample size related hot streak. My guess would be the latter. But it’s just a guess. I don’t watch the Giants bc their product is completely unwatchable.

Have any of you guys ever played in a head to head points league before? Where you get points awarded similar to fantasy football rather than categorically?
I tried it in one league this year for the first time just to see how it was. IMO it is way way better.
I did last year and I also much preferred it. We had a vote at some point before this thread where I was out-voted to do categories instead.

I love it. It removes all that nonsense about wanting to bench your pitchers at the end of the week and things like that. Judging from some of the comments from the players in your league I bet they would like it better also. At least most of them.

In case some are curious this is how the points are awarded.
You also get 3 points for each Strikeout from your pitcher but my screenshot wasn’t large enough to fit it in.
I made a different points system for my other league last year that worked better IMO. It didn’t have as many obscure values like that system does. Somewhere on this site there’s a record of exactly what it was. I can’t remember personally.

I like the way it’s set up in this league but I haven’t done it this way enough to understand which settings are better. You would know better than me for sure.
Points is always better than categories. Only old people like categories in fantasy sports. There’s a reason that shit doesn’t exist in fantasy football

That being said I would take old people over the people in my generation every day of the week.
I am literally surrounded on a daily bases with self entitlement, laziness, and people who think they know everything.
This forum is a true escape from that for me.

Im 41 I think my generation sucks balls. But growing up in early 80s and 90s still were the best years.
