I readily admit that I totally get caught up in the prospect grades. McGonigle and his 70 rated hit tool. Eldridge and his 70 rated power. Max Clark and his 70 rated speed.
I’ve never seen anybody with a 70 rating in all 3 categories like Griffin. I can’t imagine that it has happened very often through history.
Scouts get it wrong too I like seeing some of the old baseball scouting sheets that some Facebook pages will dig up that show Scouts opinions on Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. Needless to say it was a ridiculous miss Scout on them and it’s not like they said they were going to be failures, they just did not see what those guys were remotely capable of
