Why would it make you ill if the Pats got him? We don’t play NE this year and their AFC record doesn’t matter. Every game the Pats, or any other AFC team for that matter (not against the Lions, of course), wins is either a neutral or positive for the Lions, until the Super Bowl.
Yes please. Let’s dump MORE resources on the least important position on offense. Taking a TE 8th OA and paying another $5.6 million to do absolutely nothing isn’t enough.
OJ Howard is yet another cautionary tale about what it really takes to be a successful tight end in the NFL. And its not the measurables people tend to salivate about.
He was injured a lot in Tampa and I think there are some questions about his “want to” these days which would not be a culture fit here. A shame, because I thought he was really talented coming out of Alabama.
A good Franchise should completely take TE off the board in round 1. The amount of busts that come from the position is ridiculous. Let the silly franchises take TEs in round 1.
Those were also his only 2 catches. He’s never going to live up to the hype he had coming out of Alabama. Even if this year turns into an Eric Ebron type outlier season with massive touchdown numbers.
Yeah, that confused me too. I didn’t even remember caring enough to post about OJ Howard in the first place. I think the 8 month rule only applies to topics that have been created since the rule has first been in place, so this topic was “grandfathered” in.
