Taking this at face value, putting 2+2 together or penny pinching + salty agent, it’s Davis’ agent (Gregg Rosenthal of NFL Media said the Lions were in for Davis but had a hard limit) and he’s pissed because Davis wanted to stay but the Lions wouldn’t budge. So the agent is whining about the Lions not putting up a measly extra few dollars, and getting told “yes we want him but no we won’t pay that” has pissed him off.

No one thought Van Gogh was worth a shit when he was alive. Sold 1 painting his whole life for what is now $2 grand. Then blew a hole in his chest and died 2 days later.

@Billsmafia . you can post anything you want, as long as there is some way of proving what you post. nobody is being “negative” but here everyone wants to see where you got your information. then we care. and you begin to earn respect as a poster here as you go, that’s all. fwiw, I’ve been here for 20 -maybe 21 years and I have got thumped on my head for certain things I had posted before to, so it’s not a personal attack on you man.

By a person I have known for many years who is an agent.
I figure it was best to delete the post because I just got crap for it. Also why post something that was told to me… no reason to put stuff out there if everyone thinks I am making it up like no one has sources in the football industry.
Let’s just say losing valued front office people over the last few years has hurt us in this FA period.
That makes sense to me. It is also consistent with Carlton Davis Twitter post even before FA started.
At what point is the penalty for extreme trolling become castration? Just straight up remove them from the gene pool for the betterment of humanity.

I assume it had something to do with Brad Holmes being the bastard step-grandson of Adolph Hitler. I mean, my only source for that is my good agent friend, but I assume all of you will not have the unmitigated gall to question me on it, because of my stellar track record.

well that’s why your questioned or checked, a select number of posters here can say this or that happened and I’ll just automatically take their word for it. but as a rule , we don’t go by “he said…she said.” ’ I ’ have been here for 20 YEARS , but I can’t get away with that.
You guys aren’t missing anything. Basically, our old friend said that he heard from a guy who claims to be an agent, that the since the Lions have lost some of their front office personnel, that dealing with the team has been more difficult to work with than years past. That’s why Carlton’s name came up, as someone the Lions played hardball with.
I’ll chalk this one up there with “The Vikings are winning the division” and some of the other stories that have been told on here, and file it under "more things that never happened.
