Oline and the run game has STRUGGLED 3+ games

I was thinking Monty in to help with A gap blitz pickups and Gibbs in the slot for quick hitting action vs the blitz.

My ideal 11 guys vs that constant blitz Viking pressure

Is the 5 starting oline and Goff.

5 skill players being St. Brown, Jamo, LaPorta, Gibbs and Monty.

That’s our best 11 players. Get all your weapons out there and get the ball out quick.

Sure Teslaa and Brock Wright aint playing… Who cares. And Kalif is a great human but he offers almost nothing in the passing game these days.

You just don’t replace an All-Pro center overnight. I was hoping against hope that we wouldn’t miss a beat and had even talked myself into that fact after looking at our OL grades through last week.But yesterday was abysmal. They were whooping it up against our center and left side of the line, and we couldn’t do anything about it.

Yeah, in-season development may occur with the guards, but Glasgow and even Decker looked cooked yesterday. I honestly don’t think we lose a whole lot putting Kayode in there while Mahogs recovers. But we need some more help, esp at T. Bradley, wutchyagonnadooo?

If this is the case then Jamo should score at least 1 touchdown a game. If they would throw just 2-3 balls to Jamo on the same route Saint runs he’s gonna score on one. He is as scary in the open field as anyone in the league. Plays should be designed to go his way with option 2 being Aman. If the play isn’t designed to go to Jamo, he ain’t getting it. Goff doesn’t even look his way unless the play is designed to specifically go his way. This is the biggest mistake this offense makes on a weekly basis.

Different talent.

He seems to be missing somebody next to him….

The Lions are 8th in rushing and 4 of the teams in front of them have played 1 morw game.

There are 2 ways to evaluate a team, the box score/stats or watching the games… The offense has struggled most of the year and it’s easy to see if you’re watching. Luckily they’ve managed to get some wins against bad teams without playing their best ball on offense. Weird year in the NFL, there really aren’t any dominant teams. Lions need to figure it out and fast

Couple of thoughts;

-Frank was way more important to this OL success than anyone here thought. We all knew he was good but now I really appreciate HOW good.

-DMO looks less effective this year. I think it’s partly bc of Rags. Also wonder if something changed after injury. Gibbs clearly the better player and I don’t think it’s close.

-I don’t think we drop off that bad with Mohagany to Awosika. Awosika logged some snaps last year so hopefully we will be ok and he can perform.

-Haven’t watched decker all that closely but hoping he has one more high performing year in him. Will be hard to potentially replace C and RT next year.
