My concern isn’t about sports media literacy - it’s about media literacy, period. Which is what I think you’re also saying. Falling for fake media stories about sports is harmless, but unfortunately there are a lot of other forms that are not as harmless.

Yeah I’ll give it up then. Had me fooled for a second. I mean, as @farmerted pointed out, with the way betting is going, being advertised and used, it’s seems like a forgone conclusion that something like this could happen.
I quit socials a while ago, so my main source of nfl news is right here. You guys are usually on top of it.

IF something like that were to happen, it would not be in such a high profile spot or high profile manner. It would be a back door cover in a blow out noon game like Titans-Colts or something.

What told me our D was frustrating them was the second qtr closeup of a Raven DL’s face all out of breath and looking petrified because they couldn’t stop the run and were all gassed out. Then Henry throwing his helmet and falling on the bench like he was drunk after the fumble. And the miffed look on LJs face on the sidelines after being sacked and not converting multiple third downs.

it’s already happened in the nfl. shit we had like 5 guys busted for gambling just 2 years ago. A few of them were betting on nfl games. Idiots
The Cleveland Guardians have 2 guys not playing right now for gambling investigations. Definitely increasing in pro sports. No surprise with the non stop gambling ads
