Pat Shurmur fired!

The decision should not be made on wins and losses. It has much more to do with whether you are making progress in what you are implementing. Patricia has shown areas of improvement where there is a serious history of inability to correct issues. You can’t evaluate a HC by wins and losses. We were competitive in games up until the end with Stafford and a huge list of guys out. With Stafford alone we are a 9 win team despite getting hosed in the KC and GB games. The improvement is there in the running game, secondary and having an OC that fits the strengths of our QB.

Except for the fact that he played all 16 games last year and won only 6 of them while playing poorly for most of the season, completely shitting the bed in the first 2 games and singlehandedly losing the opener to the Jets with like 5 picks against a garbage opponent. He also only won 3 of 8 games as a starter this year, so 9 wins wasn’t happening as he has a history of choking down the stretch.

He’s a fine QB, but you need to slow your roll dude. He is in no way better than Wilson, like you keep babbling about. Not even close. He is very good when he has a clean pocket. He is going to be less and less mobile (not that he isn’t a statue) as time goes by, especially coming off 2 back injuries.

Where are these areas of improvement?

Lol. Our running backs ran for under 1500 yards combined. Our best back KJ who we blew a high pick on, ran for under 4 ypc.

2018 Lions rushed for 1660 yards at a 4.1 ypc clip.
2019 Lions rushed for 1649 yards at a 4.1 ypc clip.

ZERO IMPROVEMENT

Secondary you say? The worst pass defense in the NFL.

There are optimists and there are sunshine pumpers. You are way beyond both of those. You own your own sun.
