Total changeup from AG if not mistaken, from what he had done against the Vikings last few meetings. It was needed hopefully they are in Darnold’s head, and tbh, maybe a little bit of JJ as well.
From the Brick by Brick article posted in another thread is this nugget on Amik.
=============
After beating the Las Vegas Raiders in a hard-fought Monday night game last year, Campbell and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn made note of a smallish Raiders cornerback who never gave an inch in man coverage, no matter how long the odds against him. Months later, that cornerback, Amik Robertson, became a Detroit Lion.
On Sunday, they told the 5-foot-9 Robertson that Justin Jefferson — the NFL’s most dynamic receiver — was all his. Jefferson left the building with just three catches, his second-worst showing of the year. Robertson earned a game ball, the first of his life.
The issue with PFF is that their grading does not account for the opponent or at least that is how it looks. As an example
Edge player A had 1 sack and 4 pressures
Edge player B had 1 sack and 4 pressures
Not much difference, but if player A is going against a good OT and player B is facing a bad OT then there should be a difference in score. But PFF does not seem to believe that and like to grade in a bubble for each position. IMO the better way to grade based on opponent’s level.
