Pete Carroll Fired

I think Pete Carroll was a last minute pivot. Brady wanted Ben Johnson BAD. He was going to make a huge offer. Chicago basically wouldn’t let Johnson leave without a deal in hand, so Brady had to go to plan B.

I think Brady realized they needed a stop gap coach who could help rebuild the culture. I just dont think Pete had anything left in the tank.

My guess is Brady already has a replacement canidate. He just needs to go through the motions.

I would think he wants an offensive minded coach. So who would fit that description?

Kelvin Sheppard.

For the beans.

And Brady should absolutely not be able to own a team, be GM and announce games.

Why? Has it given them a competitive advantage?

Not yet but it sure will long term

I think it may very well give them a leg up on the coaching search.
He talks game strategy with OC’s/DC’s learns how they view things handle things. Gets to know them and gets feedback from players as well in all likelihood.
So, yea, i think it will give them an advantage.

I agree with whoever said that he was all in on Ben J and PC was the fallback for a season when that didn’t happen.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raiders don’t go hard after another Seattle coach.

Klint Kubiak isn’t going to remain an OC for long with the success he’s having with that offense.

Yes he is young but he comes from a very well respected coaching family.

Atlanta has already reached out to him, Klint Kubiak, per various reports

That’s possible but I tend to lean in the category of that fear is overrated. I mean we grabbed Matt Millen right out of the booth.

Was Millen a part owner of a NFL team who was part of the hiring process at the time, hired by the Lions, which seems a relevant distinction in the two situations.

I find fear an interesting word usage here.

Dont’t, it was just for the lack of a better word coming to mind.

I spent time in 100 degree heat in Las Vegas and Louisiana back to back. Give me Vegas heat every single time. The Vegas heat felt like a sunny 80 degrees compared to Louisiana.

I think having a smart OC and DC are important but you could raise Lombardi from the grave and the Raiders would still suck.

The org needs to get fixed structurally first

I have no idea if he would be open to it but Pete would be a coup in the Capers/Fox mentorship role.
