6 incompletions, 2 were picks w/1 of those being tipped or at least influenced by metellus. They probably blamed jamo for the other one (not unlikely). Leaving 4 other incompletions and 1 of those i know would have been about a 30 yard seed on 4th and 1 if it wasnt tipped by the lineman.
Considering the pressure that minnesota brought i could see the higher rating from them.
Goff stayed in the pocket and made some clutch throws while he was about to get smoked. You have to grade that on a curve. A lot of QBs would have taken 10 sacks and had a lot less points than Goff did against that pressure.
Man, if you are building an offense from scratch isn’t this what you want to see? You have peak performance from your QB, both tackles, your star receiver, and your Pro Bowl RB. Just beautiful.
I swear this website has something personal with Brock LOL!
He just never turned the corner this year like I had hoped. I mean he was fine this season, came in clutch with all the injuries, but I had hoped this would be his “breakout” season. Seems mostly like just a guy overall.
We really need a 2nd TE that can block. I know Skipper, Zylstra and Brock are fan favorites but they are not very good at blocking on the edge. I would hope next year Manu or Sorsdal can take that role away from Skipper. They were on the roster all year and never even activated.
I’m a firm believer that PFF’s data analysis is performed by low level employees in South Asian sweatshops and that the executives of the company should eat a bag of dicks. I believe this opinion is at least as valid as PFF scores.
Very true. I can see that play in my head clear as day. Gibbs, though, picked up a sweet as hell block on an outside rush that would have totally obliterated Goff. In the 2nd half, I believe. Gibbs can block in much the same way as Jamo does with no complaints. Two complete players they are!
