The Rams are going to be a handful for the Vikings.
I dunno. I see this a bit different. The Vikings are a different team than the one who lost to LA earlier this season, and I can’t imagine we see a duplicate Sam Darnold performance.
The Vikings will be coming into this game pissed. The Rams will be coming into this game rested, but potentially rusty. They seem high on their own supply.
While Matt could do his Matt thing, I’m not sure I’d bet against Minnesota …
I want lots of OT to wear the winner out …
Go like eight quotes of football please!!
Vikings are gonna lose against the Rams…teams that lose and get their souls stolen from the Lions, go on to lose their next game, and the Lions did, indeed, steal the Vikes soul.
I love that the game is on Monday Night, so no matter who wins they will have a short week.
And, if it’s the Rams, they’d have to travel across the country into a different time zone.
Stafford last three games
47 of 78 60%
459 yds 153 passing yards per game
1 TD
1 INT
75 QB rating
He’s no Jared Goff. lol
I think the Vikings are going to kick their butts, hard.
What happened last night is a credit to the Lions grit and ability to just keep coming up big in the big moments. But the Vikings are still a better team than the Rams, and they are going to be pissed.
Not to mention the disrespect that they’re going to hear all week.
It’s the Rams that are going to be out.
I think the Rams are going to win because Stafford is a better QB than Darnold. With that said, I hope we don’t play the Rams in the playoffs. Not even trying to hear the bullshit of Kelly Stafford trying to make the game about her. My brain just can’t handle a week of that shit.
McVay is counting on that. already worked once.
IF Stafford was banged up it was the right call to rest him and if you are gonna rest Stafford rest other key offensive players.
However, the Vikes are a good ball club who had a bad night. They have weapons and they are MORE than capable of beating the Rams on the road. I don’t think there is a right or wrong here.
Maybe he’s not afraid of Minnesota, but he may also be giving up a second round home game as a 4 seed rather than a 3 seed. I think there’s more wrong here than right.
Hope you’re right. I’d much rather play Minnesota again, than the Rams.
Bold move giving up the worst home field advantage in the league. There are going to be dozens of pissed off Rams fans.
I hear ‘ya Jersey and you are right here. But, if Matt IS hurting (he has been playing poorly recently) that rest might be the difference between winning and losing in the first round.
We just don’t know. You are right that a #3 seed might host rd. 2 depending on what happens round one.
It is also possible a #4 seed can host rd. 2 if #2 and #3 seeds lose but they win V the Vikes. If that happens we play lowest remaining seed (#7) and they play the #6 seed in LA.
Give a powerful massage?
…& then the packers!!!
8-0 in the division
I don’t think the Vikes had a bad night. That was a lot more about good defensive play than poor offensive play.
The Lions didn’t give Darnold enough time to have much success, and the Lions Defense really dominated. There were maybe a couple of drops by the receivers but the Lions were great in coverage.
