In regards to Hutch.
I was reminded by him how locked in these guys are when he was on the St. Brown Brother Pod Cast.
They asked him about going to the UM Natty game and he thought it was this Monday. And he was like I hope I am game prepping. I do think many of these players are just way more locked in than people realize. Like nothing else exist in the world except the next game. Like the world ends at the next game…and until that is done they do not seeing anything beyond that game.
And I suspect most players are like this. Or at least the ones that MCDC and Holmes are trying to find. Like if you have a world outside football you are probably not a good fit for this team. Not healthy but then again winning takes a ton of commitment.

They’ve said it from Day 1 this season: they had and have several goals, the first of which was to take the division and get home field advantage. That’s as far as a lot of Lions’ fans have taken it, but we’ve never heard Jared, Dan, Brad or any one else w/the Lions say that a playoff win is all they’re shooting for.
They respect the Rams, knew they’d be a tough out, and knew it had extra meaning for Goff, Reynolds, and the other former-LA guys. Also well aware of the history of playoff futility, and had they forgotten those amazing fans reminded them. And it was a tight game.
So, yeah, lots of be excited about - and they looked pretty fired up to me… AND they have higher aspirations and expectations.
Love this team.

Plus it was reported that the Rams threw in an extra first so the Lions would take him and his contract off their hands. Then all the media hype was how bad a QB Goff was. Ranked bottom ten by some pundits.

Correct. Brad has refuted that narrative multiple times. Snead asked Holmes if he wanted Goff and Brad said “**** yes!”
