Post your way-too-early '21 mock drafts from the simulators

I sometimes can’t believe the discrepancy between player ratings on these sites. Like PFN has Faalele ranked in the 140s, while TDN has him ranked in the 60s and PFF in the 50s. So every PFN mock I do, I end up with Faalele.

I do think PFF has the best rankings right now, but the others will catch up as the offseason narrative starts to groupthink these guys together.

It gets much more uniform after the combine and a few weeks out from the draft.

Rashod Bateman WR Minn 38
Christian Barmore DT Alabama 41
Jackson Carman OT Clemson 72
Jamien Sherwood S Auburn 110
Dayo Odeyingbo EDGE Vanderbilt 127
Charlie Kolar TE Iowa State 142
Dazz Newsome WR North Carolina 159
Alaric Jackson OT IOWA 173

Very easy on the eyes mock draft here. Like who we get, like the deliverer. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2021/01/05/nfl-mock-draft-2021-justin-fields-trevor-lawrence-first-round/4137849001/

Here’s an interesting one from Pro Football Network simulator:

7OA. Penei Sewell
OT Oregon

41OA. Nick Bolton
LB Missouri

72OA. Mac Jones
QB Alabama

102OA.
James Wiggins
S Cincinnati

Couple draft trades included to pick up a few more picks, you get the point.

Round 1 Pick 12 (S.F.): Dylan Moses, ILB/OLB, Alabama
Round 2 Pick 7: Jaylen Twyman, DT, Pittsburgh
Round 2 Pick 12 (S.F.): Azeez Ojulari, DE/OLB, Georgia
Round 3 Pick 7: Tamorrion Terry, WR, Florida State
Round 4 Pick 9 (DEN): Seth Williams, WR, Auburn
Round 5 Pick 7: JaCoby Stevens, FS/SS, LSU
Round 6 Pick 22 (IND): Sam Ehlinger, QB, Texas
Round 7 Pick 22 (IND): Treshaun Hayward, ILB/OLB, Western Michigan

Any draft that has Sewell or Fields dropping to 7 needs to be launched into space.

I think if Stafford isn’t traded or retires then the Lions should not draft a QB in the 1st. Parsons would be a good pick if he’s still there when the Lions’ 1st pick comes up. Frankly, I can’t see a WR or an OT in the 1st round, but much depends on what happens with Golladay and Marvin Jones. Hopefully, we can keep one of them, if the price is right.

With only 5 picks, the Lions would probably do well to do a TD, but I don’t know that they’ll get a good offer to do so. No castoffs from another team please, more picks or no deal. It’s gonna be an interesting off-season.

I ain’t mad

I’m cool with a WR, as long as a DT of comparable ranking isn’t available.

I’d snag the angry RB these cats were talking about the other day, if at all possible (#37, is he still there?)

DT/WR/RB in the first 2 rounds?
High octane offense, then work on D over the next couple of years.

I think the best draft I’ve done so far.

Traded back twice for some value as both Parsons & Smith were still available. Took Parsons at 12. Smith continued to drop so I took most of what I had gotten for trading back, added it to my 2nd and got Smith.

Patrick Jones, one of my favorites in the draft continued to fall so I packaged my 3rd and 4th to get him.

I like Munford to compete for RT position. Israel has the size to match up with big WR’s. Slaton is a big bad dude that has potential.

This draft was not what I went in expecting, but if you are a fan of blending need with value, I think this draft is a good one.

Traded down some got some pick depth this year and next year.

1st rd pick isnt the sexy pick but Mayfield could be a solid addition to the o line

Parsons looked to have dropped in their ranking from 6th to 12th.

Nope that dude is a stud and after the combine
I suspect he will be projected well into round one.

I’d love to have him in a trade down scenario.
