31-21 Lions.
I’m going by what I think this team is, and I think they are winners in Florida. Going against my inner fear that Tampa is the team that sweeps our division this year. I know, maybe illogical, but some years it just happens. They already have notched wins against the Vikes and Bears. They are a team that could give us trouble. Packers get them at home in Dec. though I think Tamps is better that the Pack right now.
AWESOME!!!
Typical fan who listens to PFF an not there own eyes. He recovered a fumble he broke up what would have beena TD pass in end zone he was second in tackles on team Sunday. You need to look at game an trust what you see not some site that pays people to write down what they see an if you watch close they lean towards the name players. Example last year they graded Goff most of time low an yet over all stats for season he was top 10 . Facts are facts they meaning who ever counts everything its there opinion example what pass is catchable an many times its not.
If the teams trusted that PFF info they could save millions by closing there stat groups. I am not saying Harris is good but he is way better than you an others think. His position is slot CB an he does ok there an is experience player at the position. He also is cheap an teams need this type of backup not every player is a 10 million plus player.
You think fans sitting at home or at game for few hours a week know more than teams paying 210 million a year for players ? They see these players everyday for hours , an you want to trust some person who grades them PFF based on what they think?
He is a solid backup Slot CB . I wish i had saved the video on just how bad PFF system is at grading an it wasn’t done by other similar groups. They showed just how bad most grades are an based on personal opinions. If You Worked For Them You Would Have Lower Grade Based On Your Early Opinion Before The Game.
I don’t think anyone here is a ‘typical fan’. If you’ve read my posts through the years you’d know too that I’ve been one of two or three people here who supported Goff since he came here. (So much for negativity there)
I’ve also said in discussions here many times that PFF isn’t an end all but does have value. And that the PFF grading regarding Goff shouldn’t be disregarded, but rather understood and taken in context witn the other metrics.
PFF puts significant weight in their QB grading witn the ‘big time throw’ metric. Throws over 20 yards into tight coverage. With more weight given situationally as well. Overall Goff scored poorly in this metric because before Chark was healthy, we didn’t have a deep threat, besides Raymond who didn’t have many routes challenging defenses deep. Interestingly, after the Jacksonville game when Goff and Chark finally got in sync, Goffs ‘BTT’ metric spiked considerably. and his game PFF scores rose commensurately. But his overall yearly grade stayed mostly diminished.
This year, Goff is the number one PFF QB through five games and that does seem to reflect other metrics showing he is a leader in air yards and intended air yards. It’s easy to see, even without Jamo healthy, they are sending Reynolds on go routes, Goff has hit him on a few nice back shoulder sideline routes and LaPorta has emerged as a downfield threat too
Back to Harris. I’m not simply relying on PFF. Two games ago the second Branch got hurt, I believe it was Harris who immediately gave up a 40 yard pass letting GB back in the game
And if you are going to plant your flag that Harris is an even remotely good plan A for outside corner for a team that is expecting a deep playoff run, you are likely going to be alone on that hill.
Harris is a decent backup slot CB/S who is able to fill in on a limited basis for OCB and S. He’s a good guy to have around but…no.
There’s a reason we resigned him. He’s a good backup depth guy. But there’s also a reason we prioritized two CBs in free agency and traded up to grab another in the second. And it’s not because we were happy with the prospect of Harris playing a ton of snaps
If we were so somehow lose JJ (knock on wood) with Mosley being gone for the year, it should strike fear in your heart watching Harris cover another teams number one or two
Toast
I used Goff as example of how they lack facts . You can trust whoever they pay to count stats I don’t.
I said if you took time to read Harris was ok as slot an backup. I saw the pass other week o I do believe that was the extra time officials gave the QB.
I could argue he let up when time ran out but if he did it was a mistake on his part also.
You did forget to say the long pass was on extra time .
I am not a Harris fan but he is not as bad as many in den think. I am not a Fan of Julian Okwara but many here like him, however i don’t bash him . I would have tried to cut him or released him but that’s me an I can’t. Harris is a player who IMO gives team more than JO . What you call it trash?
I’ve never called him trash. Check yourself
Detroit in a tough one
30 - 27
I think it’s going to be a tough out.
So far this season the Lions have murdered 1 dimensional teams. And I do not see why that ends against TB.
The lack of a running game will spell the end for Baker and crew. The Lions unleash the best pass rushing plan to date and have Baker muddied and bloodied.
The Offense will do enough to get it done but the defense will carry the Lions.
32-17
Thats right you said this twist words but i was wrong on trash unless toasted by some might mean trash?
Is this a sentence?
I said with Mosley out for the year and Branch maybe out for a while the DB depth is getting dangerously low. I said if there were an injury to JJ or Sutton it might force Harris into snaps at OCB
WHERE HE WILL GET TORCHED. HE WILL GET TOASTED
We have seen this episode before. Doesn’t mean the kid is ‘trash’ For ■■■■■ sake.
Hell even this last game he was tied for the most targeted defender by Young with six targets, he gave up five receptions. Young completed 83.3% of the passes where Harris had coverage, for 60 yards. That’s a quarter of Youngs production. And gave up the most YAC of any defender with 27. Young had his best passing game yet in the NFL
The fumble recovery was nice to see but it wasn’t a particularly great play by Harris. The ball rolled between several legs in a scrum and appeared right in front of him. All he had to do was pick it up. His pass breakup in the end zone was great but he was beat. A better thrown ball and that’s a TD
Harris is what he is. A fringe starter, versatile backup. He’s not ‘trash’ but he’s not who we want to see featured in our backfield if we are going to make an actual playoff run
Weather prediction right now seems to be 78 degrees farenheit with around 12-15 mph wind
so expect no fg outside of the really low 30s
Only reason i worry is they are coming off a bye week more time to rest and study up…playing against teams coming off bye week is a bit tougher…i still think we win but will be close.
Detroit one score game (4-8 points)
24-19 Det
Professional football pundits know jack shit. I don’t know how some keep their job.
Starting to cool off here, man. Low-mid 80s? We’ll stomp 'em, bro
Was beautiful out this morning. Maybe high 60s and sunny. Sat out on the porch and had a glass of orange juice watching the birds.
I’m not afraid of Baker Mayfield. Mike Evans will get his but the team won’t. Lions by 10.
Lions win by a FG… It’s going to be a close game… On the road, TB coming off a bye, I don’t see us blowing them out. Probably be something like 27-24 Lions

haha! Which team does that favor?

Tell GLB to focus on the game.
We should be fine

I had dinner outside 2 evenings in a row, man!
