Jesus, man… BraaaVOoo. Felt like I was back in high school reading a Street Smiths.
great work I agree… he’s fiending for the draft.
I love it
For Anthony his official numbers from the combine were a 4.55 40 but his 10 yard split of 1.51 was the fastest of all safeties tested at the combine. I don’t understand why he doesn’t use there official numbers because they are readily available.? I like this kid as well as Wingo who I talked about in the draft thread.
I wasn’t impressed with the tape I saw on Coleman but I only watched from this year.
Yeah you were one of the few people mentioning Wingo, I remember it from the captain’s thread. But imo he should be talked about for us specifically more than Fiske, Orhorhoro, Jenkins, Davis or Khristian Boyd. At least as much as DeWayne Carter has been.
I sent him a tweet to ask him. We’ll see if he answers.
I really like Wingo but I’m not sure the Lions like smaller 3Ts. I like Fiske and Carter a lot. I was impressed with Boyd at the all star games. Jenkins I tried to like but the underclassmen Michigan had just blew him away. I was not impressed with Ruke or Davis at all. If Ruke is drafted day 2 it will be for his upside because he was not good on tape.
@Thats2 thank you! That was a great read.
7th round guy who I think could be a special teams ace, Edefuan Ulofoshjo. Also has decent coverage skills as a depth LB.
I’ve been pushing WR Polk since Jan 2024. He was Washington’s No.3 receiver, and was excellent in the 20-30yd sideline routes for Penix all season, Silky smooth, sure-handed, good size/weight. He has been consistently projected late 2nd-early 3rd in nearly all projections. Great attitude, also !!
A little bit under-the-radar wide receiver, but he excels in the 20-30yd range that Goff likes to attempt. I would take him at #61, because I believe he will be gone by #73, especially, if Holmes elects to trade down from #73 to the Mid-80’s, in order, to pick up a 4th Rounder.
Take a CB or IOL in Rd #1, and a OT/G at #73 would be wise. Get your WR at #61 for Best Value, IMO !!
what about Newton with 18 sacks?
For sure we’ll be interested in him, but this thread was for players we hadn’t talked about much. We’ve been talking about Newton for months.
I think Brad has an affinity for a pressure 3T. That’s what Levi was supposed to be, and while at just under 6’3, 290 with 33 inch arms he’s a little bigger than Wingo, it’s not by a lot. And we know Holmes was heavily involved in the drafting of Donald, who’s basically the exact same size as Wingo. So I think there’s some precedent.
I also think we’re dealing with a small sample size overall and still figuring out what Brad likes. I got burned by that last year.
Prospects I think are being slept on.
QB - Michael Pratt - I like Willie Fritz but you don’t do
what Tulane just did without really good QB play. Don’t hate the tools. Seems to have all the gamer-ness and what not and who doesn’t like Gamer-ness?
RB - Blake Corum - probably one of the biggest victims of prospect fatigue. Safe as a RB can be IMO. If he stays healthy he’s gonna help somebody win some ball games.
WR - Jalen McMillan - he was co-1 with Rome as of 9 months ago. He’s was right on that 4/5 star cusp as a recruit. Everyone wanted him. Two sport star. Like AJ Brown was a big time HS prospect as a CFer. He’s gonna hit IMO. Just not the perfect fit. But kid can play. Some frustrating concentration drops. Pain in the ass to cover.
TE - Mason Pline - be I want to talk about Mason Pline. “Tight end”? type. Mike Gesicki like perhaps. But dude can threaten the seem and go up and get it. UDFA type? ![]()
OT - Garrett Greenfirld - vertical leap of 38.5 inches? At 311 pounds. Just incredible explosiveness, a record amongst combine OL. He’s nearly as decordated as his teammate McCormick. You’d like a little bit longer arms but at 33.5” he hits what I believe is most team’s threshold. His profile is similar to Blake Freeland’s but Garrett is much better at football. He just seems like the type of developmental tackle that teams take at the bottom of day 2 or early day three and it seems the draft media have him later on day 3.
IOL - Tanor Bortelini - the arm length in the 8th percentile is obviously the reason for pause. Probably profiles best at Center as a result. Despite that length he’s got a pretty wide frame so I think there potential to add ten pounds or so and keep
The athleticism. And as Josh Norris pointed out this short shuttle has typically portended a solid NFL career.

Given our OL standards he’s probably more interior super sub but that would be quite useful and his stock seems to be where such use would match up
with the required draft capital.
Edge - Jamree Kromah - he could have been placed at IDL but I like him in the Commish role for us. Long 35+” ropes for arms and he weaponizes them. I get that this is a crazy comp but in terms of play style he kind of reminds me of Robert Porcher. Not expecting that sort of career of course. I think he’d be a great guy to groom for that Commish role. Should be an asset on kick block as well. 7th? UDFA?
IDL - Leonard Taylor/Maason Smith - I’m cheating here with two but they’re similar stories. Both were guys with first half of round 1 hype early in their career. I lean Taylor bc I think it’s more of a scheme misuse issue than anything else whereas with Smith we need to see that year two ACL athleticism recovery. If someone drafts him and the lower body strength comes back that’s a pick that makes a draft.
Sounds like round 3/4 is what is expected for each. I’d imagine them to have unrivaled upside at that part of the draft.
Off ball LBer - Kalen DeLoach - I know some think just make him a safety and honestly I think we’re talking two sides of the same coin. Whether he’s a Marquise Bell style tiny LBer or an additional sub package Safety is more semantics to me. He can help us spying QBs and he can help us keeping up on crossers and down the seams. I think he can become the next JRM for us albeit a bit smaller
CB - Wille Roberts - LA Tech plays a ton of press and he was really good at it. Good ball production. Can’t seem to find his pro day results but he seems like he’s neither big nor fast but really sticky in coverage and just a bulldog (in more ways than one). Was really impressed by him when Nebraska played them. Though Nebraska didn’t have a QB that could throw so that could be part of it. LA Tech corners seem to be well coached (although he was only there for one year)
Safety - Josh Proctor - he’s kind of the safety version of Antoine Green. Talented kid who was just forsaken with bad fortune throughout his whole career. Finally stays healthy and played well last year IMO. Probably not a guy you want playing a ton of single high but seems otherwise quite versatile. I think he’ll be 24 as a rookie. Between that and the injury history I’d assume we’re talking late day 3 for what IMO is more of an early day 3 type of talent (on this draft at least). Curious to hear @hsvlion’s thoughts on him
Proctor’s actually 25 right now! One of the main reasons I just couldn’t put him on this list.
On Pratt, I think he’s pretty much the consensus “next guy” after the top 7 (Caleb, Drake, JJ, Jayden, Nix, Penix, Rattler). Wouldn’t be surprised if he went in the 4th.
This one’s a mystery to me too, the respected media evaluators really don’t seem to like him (Dane has him as a 6th/7th rounder). I think he’s gotten the dreaded “finesse blocker” label, but he’s a captain and supposedly hard worker, so I’d be surprised if we weren’t in on him. Another guy who turns 25 right about when the season starts. That’s probably affecting what I think of them subconsciously.
I struggle to shake the Senior Bowl and worry he’s got a touch of Garret Bradbury to his game (who was a 1st rounder and got a 2nd contract, but I don’t know a single Vikings fan who likes him). I just think he might not meet the anchor threshold. Which is too bad cause I love my iOL to be athletic (there’s some other really good athletes at iOL on my sleeper list who I think offer more anchor).
I’ve seen work ethic questions about Taylor, which is why I don’t have him as a fit for us. I do think he’s got real talent if he puts it together (or if those rumors are false), but so did Jalen Carter.
From Charlie Campbell:
Smith is more likely for us, I just worry the injuries (and they’re beginning to mount) have sapped him of his juice. The guy I watched in 2023 was just an average guy. Not as explosive as he used to be (which showed in his testing), couldn’t get off blocks, a non-factor more often than not.
He’s definitely body beautiful, and deserves some benefit of the doubt re: his come back from injury, and he’s got a motor and work ethic that we’re gonna like, for sure. I just don’t see the same guy I to see. It reminds me a little of Bresee. I think he’s benefit a lot from being able to line up as a 5T in a 3-4.
Could my find his birth year. Guess he was old for
His HS class.
It’s in the Beast. 3/27/99
Figured so much. Bradbury did not come in below the magical short shuttle. Not sure that matters but he seems like a good bit less explosively quick than Bortolini. I just think Tanor can be one of those guys that’s so quick off the ball that his first mover advantage compensates for the reach limitations. I also find there to be a dearth of movement style LG options and like that prior to this year he was in the nation’s most complicated run scheme IMO. And if we got Bradbury on a rookie contract as a depth piece in round 6 I’d be pretty happy about that.
Willie Roberts Louisiana Tech 5097 183 4.68 2.75 1.60 31 9’9" 4.44 7.41 12 9 1/8 30 3/8 73 1/8
4.68. Ok. So that’s why nobody is talking about him.
I’m surprised Bradbury didn’t meet that number (pretty close), but I stand by the idea that he was an otherwise athletic center with anchoring issues, much like Bortolini. Bortolini is clearly a better athlete, but that is not the part I’m concerned about. My worry is with the anchor. He really struggled at the Senior Bowl.
You’re right though that nabbing a guy with Bradbury’s career in the 6th would be just fine. Great even. And Wisconsin OL definitely come into the league prepared.
I wonder what Barton would have done in the shuttle?
